Application of low temperature catalyst in SCR treatment of NOx waste gases in stainless steel pickling line

Abstract:In this study, a kind of composite catalyst (named as GJ- HC- 4) with high denitration performance at low temperature was prepared by injecting metallic compounds into the channels of mesoporous molecular sieve using the method of nanoparticle assembly and perfusion. The cordierite honeycomb ceramics was used as supports, while the transition metal elements were used as the active ingredients. The high- efficiency reaction temperature range of GJ- HC- 4 catalyst was 200- 300℃. According to the characteristics of NOx exhaust in pickling such as low temperature, low dust, high oxidation degree and high concentration, the process of “spray absorption + preheating + heat exchange + heating + SCR reaction + heat exchange” was adapt using GJ- HC- 4 catalyst. Under the reaction temperature setting at 260℃ in site, the denitration efficiency in continuous operation was always higher than 95%. The NOx concentration in the outlet of chimney was lower than 150mg/m3. Compared with V2O5/TiO2 catalysts, the GJ- HC- 4 catalyst exhibited superior performance in energy saving and environmental protection on the premise of guaranteeing the denitration efficiency.
