Abstract:The effects of processing parameters such as coiling temperature and cooling rate on MA islands and mechanical performances of high strength weathering steel were studied by thermomechanical simulation experiments and industrial production. The results show that with other parameters remaining constant, the fraction and the size of MA islands decrease gradually with an increase in the coiling temperature; when the coiling temperature remains unchanged, the MA islands are distributed more dispersedly and the fraction of the MA islands increases slightly with an increase in the cooling rate; when coiled at between 600 ℃ and 610 ℃, the yield strength of the trialproduced strip reaches a peak value, whereas the elongation of strip increases with the increase in the coiling temperature.
