Development for Slab Continuous Casting Mold Monitoring Integrated System With High Efficiency

Abstract:An integrated online monitoring system for continuous casting mold with high casting speed based on the technologies of ANN and thermal imaging of copper plate was developed with the development tools of LabVIEW. The system consists of four modules such as breakout prediction system, thermal behavior of copper plate, nonsinusoidal oscillation and characteristics of steel liquid flow, and has been applied in one steelworks. Half year online test shows the system meets the needs of the design.
