Abstract:Using white fused alumina and fused magnesia as main raw materials, calcium aluminate (80%Al2O3)cement as binder, microsilica and α-Al2O3 micropowder addition agent, the influence of MgO powder content on slag resistance of Al2O3-MgO castables was discussed deeply. The results showed that: adding appropriate quantify of MgO powder in Al2O3-MgO castables, the alumo-magnesia spinel can formed in high temperature, thus the slag resistance of Al2O3-MgO castables can be improved, the slag resistance property is good with magnesia powder addition between 2%~6%.
