Abstract:In order to make the effective utilization of gas hightemperature physical heat and realize reasonable match between prereduction and final reduction operation, a mathematical model for gas reforming with hydrogen enrichment was developed, through which qualified reduction gas was provided for prereduction process and enhanced its operational efficiency. The composition and temperature of inlet and outlet gas at different reforming conditions were investigated by the model. Calculating results show that the gas reforming with hydrogen enrichment can attain the efficient utilization of physical residual heat and saving energy consumption in twostep smelting reduction process.
