Abstract:In order to fully grasp the feasibility of blast furnace injection with different fuels under the condition of large coal injection, a deeply study on several coals with different coal ranks that could be used for injection in Ansteel blast furnace was conducted. The main research included proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, ash composition, heat value, grindability, ignition point and explosiveness, ash melting characteristics, combustion characteristic, reaction of coals, and so on. Kinetic calculation was also combined to characterize the difference in chemical reactions of different coals. The results show that with the increase of coal rank, the softening temperature of coal gradually increases, which is mainly related to the effect of calcium oxide. Upgraded coal and blue charcoal both have excellent combustion and gasification characteristics, and their price advantages are obvious. The safety performance and grindability of them meet the requirements of blast furnace injection. When used as a mixed fuel, its high proportion injection is beneficial to the optimization of fuel structure and cost control.
