Abstract:The wall thickness accuracy of hot-rolled seamless steel tube depends on the level of production technology and equipment, and is closely related to the quality control strategy and method. Based on the production practice and test data, the control strategy and method of the wall thickness accuracy of seamless steel tube are studied. The research shows that the wall thickness accuracy of hot-rolled seamless steel tube has genetic characteristics along the three deformation processes. The selection of effective control factors and the establishment of the corresponding relationship and influence characteristics between control factors and wall thickness accuracy index are the technological basis for the implementation of wall thickness accuracy control. The inadequate setting of control points and the lack of data correlation between control points are one of the important reasons for the limitation of the control level of wall thickness accuracy of hot-rolled seamless steel tube. The application of a control chart in the accuracy control of the wall thickness of hot-rolled seamless steel tube still has a large space for excavation, and it is an important development direction to combine the control chart with the online automatic detection and intelligent analysis technology.
