Abstract:Q235B/304 clad plate was welded through shielded metal- arc welding with two welding rods, which were THNi317 and THA062 welding rod, to study the effect of welding material on the Q235B/304 clad plate. The microstructure and the distribution of the main alloying elements of welding joint were analyzed by the optical microscope(OM)and EDS method, and the mechanical properties were analyzed and investigated. The results showed that microstructure of the two welding joints was austenite and a little of δ- ferrite. THNi317 welding material can more effectively control the diffusion of C element and the dilution of Cr and Ni alloy element. THNi317 welding joint had better impact toughness than THA062 welding joint. The strength of extension and hardness of two welding joints both met the requirements of the relevant technical standard.
