Abstract:The optimal model of pulverized coal blending structure and the hot metal cost is developed by selecting Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as the programming language, and Microsoft Office Access as the data platform, and using the linear programming of MatrixVB to set up the optimization module of burden calculation. The PCI database is included in the model. It has the function of evaluating the coal resources. Also, it can be quantitatively calculated and deduced the desired results. The model can evaluate coal cost performance, give optimizing blending plan and cost down range. This is valuable to the decision- making of PCI cost reducing. The blending model was tried out in some blast furnace in 2016, and the structure of coal blending was optimized. One cost- effective coal A was used up to 35%. The blast furnace was in better condition during the industrial test period. The cost of hot metal was reduced 2.74 yuan/t for coal A. Now this model has been applied in several plants of Shougang.
