Abstract:The increase of strength of automobile steel is required for the lightweight development of automobile. The higher strength, however, leads to more difficulty in achieving the control of the uniformity of internal stress in the steel strip. In order to solve the problem of lateral bending of hot rolled steel after longitudinal cutting, through the analysis of the actual measurement distance value between each narrow strip and the criterion, a methodology of the problem was put forward, and a group of the corresponding computational formula was derived, which was used to calculate the bending value and residual stress distribution. The calculation results showed that the lateral bending of strips was due to the asymmetric wave or potential edge wave of hot- rolled coils across the width. According to these results, some improvement measures were proposed pointedly, and the remarkable results were achieved.
