Application and influencing factor analysis of incremental model on converter steelmaking

Abstract:In accordance with the real situation that the sublance should not be added on middle and small converter, and it was difficult to continuously measure the molten steel component (mass fraction) and temperature and establish the dynamic models, the incremental model was applied in converter steelmaking process to control the end point of molten steel. The molten effect was greatly improved using incremental model and new charging scheme, it was shown that the hit-rate for primary discharging and residual manganese yield were increased by 5.7% and 6.52% in the end-point hot metal of converter, respectively, and the splashing ratio was reduced by 1.24%.
