Preliminary analysis of energy conservation and emission reduction of the new method of direct vanadium extraction from molten vanadium slag

Abstract:In order to analyze the effect of energy conservation and emission reduction produced by the new method of direct vanadium extraction from molten vanadium slag,energy consumption in current process of vanadium extraction and the new method of vanadium extraction were contrastively calculated and compared, the result shows that energy consumption in the new method was 2.09×106kJ /t (vanadium slag) less than that in the current process,which was equivalent to 178.00kg/t (slag) in term of CO2 emission reduction(vanadium slag). The new method can make great contributions to energy conservation and emission reduction of the industry of vanadium extraction.
