Abstract:The spray nozzle is the key part of spray can, and its forming process is complicated and difficult. In this study, a three-dimensional optical scanner was used to detect the three-dimensional size of formed part in each forming step of spray nozzle. The die process scheme was also deduced to build the reverse model. The characteristics of spray nozzle forming process were analyzed by finite element method, and the influence of material properties on the forming quality was studied. The results showed that accurate analysis on the complicated multi-step forming process of spray nozzle was realized by the model. The forming state and forming quality of spray nozzle at any time and in any position could be analyzed. Moreover, the material MR T3-BA or other material with higher yield strength was prone to forming quality problems.
