Abstract:Using chemical reagent and EAF dust as experimental samples, the reduction of zinc oxide by solid carbon or CO/CO2 gas mixture was tested and the influence factors were analyzed. Based on the experimental result, it shows that the gas solid reduction reaction is faster than the solidsolid, but the former is more likely affected by temperature. The zinc oxide in EAF dust can be reduced and separated from the other elements successfully at CO/CO2=10 and temperature range of 1〖KG-*9〗000 ℃~1〖KG-*9〗100 ℃. This research can provide some theoretical bases for developing the new EAF dust treating process with moving coke layer.
