Abstract:The effect of lanthanum content on the microstructure and properties of GH230 alloy was studied. The experimental results showed that a La-riched phase was precipitated in the GH230 alloy with 0.048 %( weight percent, %) La, it also revealed that the lanthanum content influenced the morphology of the secondary M23C6 carbides precipitated along the grain boundary. But the lanthanum content had little influence on the quantities, size, morphology of the primary M6C carbides and the grain size of the GH230 alloy. The mechanical properties of the GH230 alloy varied with different content of lanthanum.
