Abstract:In order to make the OxyCup shaft furnace process effectively treat iron dust in steel companies, by changing the reduction atmosphere, the addition way of silica and load, the soft- melting property of dust briquettes in OxyCup shaft furnace was studied. Results showed that when the value of φ(CO2)/(φ(CO)+φ(CO2)) was 0, the maximum pressure gradient of dust briquettes was about 587 Pa, with the softening temperature of 900- 1 030 ℃, and the dropping temperature was 1 191- 1 203 ℃. At the same time, there was no obvious cohesive zone. With the increase of CO2 volume percentage, the softening temperature of the dust briquettes decreased, the dropping temperature rapidly increased. When the value of φ(CO2)/(φ(CO)+φ(CO2)) was 1, the softening temperature of the dust briquettes was 971- 977 ℃, and the dropping temperature was 985- 1 192 ℃, and there was a thick cohesive zone. Compared with the dust- silica briquettes, the maximum pressure gradient was lower, and the temperature range of cohesive zone was narrower by mixing or layering silica. Under different loading conditions, the change rule of pressure gradient was similar, the maximum pressure gradient was small, and the loading had little influence on the soft- melting property of dust briquettes.
