Abstract:The feasibility of the thermodynamics and kinetics of SiC deoxygenation was theoretically analyzed. Combined with the existing production conditions, No.80 SiC was used in the deoxidation alloying process instead of No.50 SiC in steel mills, and at the same time, the structure and quantity of other alloys were adjusted, the industrial tests were carried out. The production practice showed that compared with the previous deoxidation alloying process, after the adjustment the alloy elements yield, casting qualified rate and internal control rate were increased, the steel mechanical properties were improved, and the production cost of two specifications of HRB400E steel can reduce 1.75 yuan per ton and 0.62 yuan per ton, respectively.
