Influence of temperature on deformation behavior of MnOAl2O3SiO2 inclusion during hot rolling process

Abstract:The aim was to investigate the influence of temperature on the deformation behavior of the MnOAl2O3SiO2 inclusions during hot rolling processes. And the plastic deformation of MnOAl2O3SiO2 inclusions in the slab at 8001 000 ℃ during hot rolling was simulated by the finite element method. The simulated results showed when the temperature was not lower than 950 ℃, no cracks appeared, and the plastic strain of the inclusion is larger than that of the matrix. When the temperature was lower than 950 ℃, the plastic strain of inclusion was smaller than that of matrix. Thus, there was the relative displacement between the contact surfaces of the inclusion and the matrix, which caused the cracks. The higher temperature caused the larger deformation of the inclusion and the smaller size of the crack.
