Effect of magnetic treatment on association of circulating cooling water

Abstract:Based on orthogonal test L16(45), by the range analysis of TDS, conductivity and surface tension, the difference of the optimum value was obtained, and the effects of various factors on the association degree of circulating cooling water were studied comprehensively. It was found that when the ion concentration was 900 mg/L, the temperature was 35 ℃, the flow rate was 0.4 m/s, and the magnetic field strength was 0.5 T, both the TDS and conductivity reached the optimum value, the degree of association of water molecules also reached the maximum, the ion concentration reached the maximum accordingly. At this point, the anti- scaling of magnetic treatment also reached the optimum. But when the surface tension reached the optimum value, the degree of water molecules association varied, when the condition of its optimum value was different from the optimum value of TDS and conductivity, the degree of water molecules association reduced, which would reduce the effect of anti- scaling of magnetic treatment. When the TDS, conductivity and surface tension reached their optimum, the magnetic treatment condition would strengthen the degree of water molecules association. Thus, it would also strengthen the effect of anti- scaling of magnetic treatment.
