Abstract:Bottom blowing parameters are of great importance to the slag-metal mass transfer during combined blowing converter steelmaking. In order to reveal the influence of bottom blowing parameters such as nozzle amount and intensity on the mass transfer coefficient, taking 100 t converter as the prototype, the mass transfer regularities between machine oil and water were studied by the cold simulation experiment based on similarity principle. The experiment results showed that mass transfer coefficient firstly increased and then decreased when the bottom blowing intensity increased, and the optimum bottom blowing flow rate increased when the bottom blowing nozzle amount increased. When the bottom blowing nozzle amount increased from four to ten,the optimum bottom blowing flow rate increased from 0.08 to 0.25 m3/(t·min). The optimum individual intensity was 0.02-0.025 m3/(t·min) and increased gradually when the bottom blowing nozzle amount increased.
