Development of self- adaption function for control system for tandem cold rolling process

Abstract:In view of the characteristic and requirement of models setup and calculation for tandem cold rolling, calculation models of self- adaption coefficients for rolling force, forward slip, torque and gap were established in succession, and meanwhile, feedback calculation models of friction coefficients and deformation resistance during the tandem cold rolling process were put forward, which improved and optimized the models on rolling parameters in tandem cold rolling process. After that, to realize the acquisition and processing of actual data, three data collection methods were designed which were based on event, timer and message, respectively. Ultimately, the self- adaption function for the control of tandem cold rolling process was developed, and it was put into practical production. The application results showed that owing to the self- adaption function which is applicable for industrial production, the fast pacing of models setup and calculation online could be effectively guaranteed, the computational accuracy of original models could also be greatly increased, and then the operation efficiency and stability of process control system could be improved.
