Abstract:By analyzing the effect of Ti on the properties of the steel, the chemical composition of Q345B low alloy steel was designed and targeted production technology was made. Then experiments of steelmaking and rolling were conducted. The experiment results indicated that ferrite and pearlite were the main microstructure for titanium microalloyed Q345B steel. Yield strength was fluctuating from 350MPa to 423MPa, tensile strength was fluctuating from 496MPa to 557MPa, and elongation rate was fluctuating from 24.5% to 29.5%.The plate of the comprehensive performance was stable, qualification rate of property was 100%, which had improved significantly compared with that of the original process. The cost of steel was decreased by 17.57 RMB per ton.
