Development and Practice of Automatic Steelmaking Process for 180t Converter in Shasteel

Based on the sublance automatic control system and level2 metallurgical model, automatic steelmaking process was developed in 180ton converter by establishing automatic charging, bottom blowing, oxygen blowing processes, and optimizing material structure, operation parameters and modeling parameters, etc. With the practice of this automatic steelmaking process works stably, the hitting rate of the endpoint temperature and carbon content of BOF molten steel was increased from 25% to above 83%, and the production cycle time reduced 4min as well as the total Fe content in slag was reduced 2.4%.
