| Disposal and utilization of secondary aluminum dross and its application in steelmaking |

Abstract China is a large country of aluminum production and consumption. With the development of aluminum industry, a large number of aluminum dross (slag) hazardous solid wastes are discharged in the process of raw aluminum preparation, processing and regeneration, which not only pollutes the environment, but also wastes the secondary resources. According to the composition characteristics and treatment status of aluminum dross, the application of aluminum dross in iron and steel industry and the technical status and development trend of preparing calcium aluminate steelmaking refining agent are summarized. Using cheap secondary aluminum dross to prepare calcium aluminate steelmaking refining agent as auxiliary raw material for steelmaking can not only save steelmaking cost to a certain extent, but also be an effective mean to alleviate the problem of disposal and utilization for aluminum dross.
