On-line oxide film of hot rolling work roll has a great influence on the strip surface quality, and the scaling of oxide film on roll surface leads directly to the second pressed iron scale on the strip surface. Through a large number of field tests and related theory, this paper analyzes the dynamic change processes of high-chrome roll oxide film, the formation and scaling reasons of roll oxide film, and puts forward appropriate control measures, which has made great achievements.
