Abstract:The calcium and/or barium alloys deoxidation and nonmetallic inclusion controlling technology of molten steel are researched in a MoSi2 resistance furnace at 1〖KG-*9〗873 K. The results show that the mean length of nonmetallic inclusions are less than 8 μm for all experimental heats and Al2O3 inclusion can be found in all. For the heats using CaBa alloy deoxidation, the nonmetallic inclusion of bariumbearing isn’t found, the main nonmetallic inclusions are CaOAl2O3 compound inclusions and the total oxygen contents are higher than 50×10-6. While using AlMnCa deoxidation, the CaObearing nonmetallic inclusions are less, the total oxygen content is 37×10-6 and the amount of the nonmetallic inclusions longer than 20μm are 1.2 percent of total nonmetallic inclusions amounts.
