Abstract:When selecting the drive motor power of uncoiler and coiler in the strip processing line and cold rolling mill, the selection shall not only ensure the tension torque required by the process tension, but also consider the mechanical efficiency and dynamic moment of the drive system (or inertia moment) and the strip elastic and plastic deformation. Nowadays, the general practice in engineering design is taking the motor power required by the process tension and then correcting it by multiplying a correction coefficient. Such a rough way is no longer adaptive to the increasingly higher requirements of modern production lines on tension control accuracy, and the fierce market competition for the refinement of design. Therefore, a calculation formula of uncoiler and coiler dynamic moment was deduced through kinematics and dynamics analysis, according to the operation characteristics of uncoiler and coiler. It can be used in the dynamic compensation model for tension control of uncoiler and coiler (real-time compensation of dynamic model with variable). After further analysis and processing, the formula can also be used for accurately calculating the maximum dynamic moment during uncoiler or coiler operation to interpose the power required to compensate for the dynamic moment into the rated power of motor to prevent the loss of process tension.
