Abstract：In order to clarify some misunderstandings in the current "double carbon" work, objectively grasp the content and essence of greenhouse gases, and correctly guide the "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality" of China's iron and steel industry, this paper introduces the contents of "carbon", "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality" and their positive and negative effects on China's development, the current progress in the low-carbon field at home and abroad, misunderstandings and existing problems, and puts forward some practical paths for the phased implementation of China's iron and steel industry in the next step, and introduces some known and unknown low-carbon technologies.
