Production practice of small scimitar specimen of high strength stainless steel for low-temperature wind tunnel

Abstract:A low-temperature wind tunnel scimitar is made of 00Cr12Ni10MoTi maraging stainless steel (S03). The ingot preparation process of 10 t S03 steel small test piece was studied by using the construction forming and triple special smelting (vacuum induction melting + vacuum consumable arc melting + electroslag remelting) process routes. Using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), tensile test, impact test and other evaluation methods, the effects of smelting and heat treatment on the structure and mechanical properties of S03 steel are studied. The research results show that both the construction forming and the triple special smelting process can achieve the preparation of 10 t S03 steel ingots. The two-step solution at 750 ℃ and aging at 500 ℃ can achieve better comprehensive mechanical properties of S03 steel. The result of the process research provided technical support for the preparation of 100 t scimitar steel ingots for a certain low-temperature wind tunnel.
