Abstract：The intelligent manufacturing of iron and steel industry is in the stage of rapid development. The pilot demonstration projects provided some results and experience,led the development of the industry. Many iron and steel engineering construction companies have launched intelligent manufacturing solutions,new application scenarios and cases keep emerging. Because the actual situation of each enterprise is different,it is impossible to conduct top-level design according to a completely unified mode. We should make prudent decisions according to the development conditions and actual needs of enterprises,properly handle the relationship between engineering projects and scientific research projects,and attach importance to both hardware construction and software development and research. Iron and steel manufacturing enterprises,universities,research institutes and engineering and technology enterprises should work together to create an open and innovative ecological environment,so as to promote the development of intelligent manufacturing.
