As to the defect of oxide color on the surface of 590 MPa low alloy cold rolled steel strip containing Mn produced by BAF, the main composition of surface oxide color was analyzed. The annealing process of BAF was simulated by muffle furnace in the laboratory, and the inhibition effect of metal manganese sheet on the oxide color of steel strip was verified. The results showed that the metal manganese sheet could consume the oxidizing atmosphere in the furnace and protect the sample surface from oxidation during annealing. The industrial annealing of BAF adopted the cold point temperature of 620 ℃, the hot spot temperature of 630 ℃, the heat holding time of 25 h and the hydrogen blowing in the whole process with the flow rate of 40 m3/h. At the same time, 125 kg pure metal manganese sheet was placed at the center of each convection plate during the annealing process, which could avoid the defect of oxide color at the edge of 590 MPa low alloy cold rolled steel strip containing Mn, and meet the requirements of the mechanical properties.
