Analysis on solid solution behavior of titanium nitride inclusion in high strength tire cord steel

Abstract:In order to improve the quality of the wire rod cord steel and achieve the effective control of large particle titanium nitride inclusion in the high strength tire cord steel during rolling process, the solid solution behavior and influence factors of titanium nitride inclusion in tire cord steel during the heating process were discussed based on the solid solution experiments of the steel sample. The conclusions were that there was obvious solid solution behavior of titanium nitride inclusion in the heating process, and the solid solution effect as closely related to the heating temperature and holding time. By properly increasing the rolling temperature, holding time and the subsequent cooling rate, the size and quantity of large particle titanium nitride inclusion in the high strength tire cord steel can be effectively controlled.
