Experiment on preparation of iron particle by coal based self- reduction of sulfur acid residues

Abstract:Sulfuric acid residues is a kind of significant secondary resource. In order to protect the environment, realize the high efficiency utilization of sulfuric acid residues, and extract the iron resources to solve the inadequate problems of iron ore raw materials and then reduce the cost of pig iron, the sulfuric acid residues taken from a certain plant was used as the raw material, and the anthracite was used as the reducing agent. The effects of carbon ratio, reduction time and reduction temperature on the metallization rate of iron in the reduction briquetting were discussed. Experiment results showed that the optimal reduction conditions were that the carbon ratio was 1.2, the reduction temperature was 1 250 ℃, and the reduction time was 12 min. Based on these conditions, the metallization rate of iron reached 96.99%. At the same time, the application prospect of sulfuric acid residues was put forward.
