Abstract:At present, the mould steel has the advantages of high added value and wide market demand. But China’s mould steel production has been seriously lags behind the advanced level. In domestic factory, the issues of produced mould steel are long solidification time, unqualified inspection and low yield. Based on the casting simulation analysis, the whole solidification time and ontology solidification time of the optimized ingot reduce by 0.48 h and 0.41 h, respectively. After optimization there is no shrinkage cavity in the ingot ontology, the B ultrasonic testing after finish rolling is qualified, and the rolling yield of trial production reaches 83.51% , which is increased by 5.31% compared with the original index.
