Abstract:Nozzle clogging is one of the key issues that needs to be solved urgently in the continuous casting of low-carbon steel and ultra-low-carbon steel, which directly affects the quality of cast slabs and the smooth of production process. From the point of view of nozzle clogging mechanisms, the basic meaning of interfacial active elements and the current research fields are introduced, common interfacial active elements are summarized, and the influence of interfacial active elements on the wettability between two phases and the shape, size and distribution of inclusions in continuous casting is compared. The influence mechanism of interface active elements on the nozzle clogging is analyzed, which has certain guiding significance for predicting the interactive influence of different active elements of molten steel on wettability, inclusions and clogging products in actual production. Combined with the research of this team, the future research directions of interface active elements are prospected.
